Two digital proposal panels compare a single AI video frame with a layered production timeline.

Two quotes can promise the same 30-second film and cover very different work. Six questions reveal what sits behind the price.

Two proposals land in your inbox. Both promise a 30-second AI video. The prices are miles apart.

Which makes sense? And how do you explain the difference when your boss asks, “Aren’t we getting the same thing?”

Comparing quotes by running time is like comparing houses by the number of rooms. The real difference lies in what has to be imagined, built and finished. These six questions help bring that difference into focus.

1 Who’s developing the idea?

An approved storyboard is one starting point. A campaign idea still waiting to take shape is another job entirely. How much creative thinking sits behind the number on the page?

2 Will it look like your brand?

A beautiful frame gets attention. But does the product keep its shape as it moves? Does the character’s face stay the same? That’s temporal consistency: keeping details stable over time. AI hallucinations, such as distorted hands or invented packaging details, may need correction. The quote should reflect the work behind making those shots fit your brand.

3 What counts as a revision?

“Can we just change this bit?” Re-prompting asks the model to generate another result; it may alter parts you wanted to keep. Moving a logo or fixing a distorted hand may need targeted editing or compositing, combining elements into the shot. Does the quote cover another generation attempt, precise correction work, or both?

4 Which versions does your campaign need?

Your master film is ready. Then comes the vertical cut, another language and the shorter social edit. A quote for one film may cover only part of the campaign you have in mind.

5 What can you use after handover?

The finished film may be just the beginning. Future edits and wider campaign use depend on the assets and permissions included. Think of handover as the toolkit you’ll have for what comes next.

6 What stands between you and launch?

A delivery date is the finish line. Creative decisions, feedback and testing shape the route there. How well does the proposed timeline fit the way your team actually works?
